Mark Bretton, a managing director at leading global professional services company Accenture, joined the LEP Board as Business Representative and Chair Designate in 2016. Mark took over from John Gourd when his five-year tenure came to an end in June.
During his 33-year impressive career spanning Plessey, Siemens, Royal Mail Group, Tata Consultancy Services and most recently Accenture Operations, Mark has notched up several awards. Outside work, he sits on the Business Leaders’ Council of the charity Teach First, whose mission is to end inequality in education. In his current role at Accenture Mark is a member of the regional leadership and is the local Citizenship Lead.
He joined Accenture in February 2014 from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) where he was Vice President and Head of Business Process Outsourcing UK and Europe. During his eight year tenure at TCS he was twice voted one of the six most influential leaders in the European Shared Services market.
Mark, lives in Hertfordshire, and is married with two grown-up daughters.
