Support and Advice
As an employer, what support and advice will I receive?
You will be working with a training provider who will ensure that the apprentice receives the learning and assessment that will allow them to achieve their apprenticeship qualifications. The training provider will also help you advertise your apprenticeship on the National Apprenticeship Service vacancy website. Once you have taken on an apprentice you are encouraged to join the Apprenticemakers employer network which provides information and support.
What is my commitment as an employer?
1. Provide a contract of employment for a minimum of 30 hours per week.
2. Provide at least the mimimum rate of pay for apprentices, although you may wish to pay more.
3. Deliver on-the-job training.
