The EU Energy Focus service is a free, Government-funded service that aims to ensure that UK companies, research institutions and other organisations are well informed and have every chance of success in applying for and securing European funding for energy-related projects. The services include one-to-one discussion of proposal ideas, webinars on key subjects and review of draft proposals.

Executive Training Programme


The Executive Training Programme is a unique opportunity for European executives and companies to expand their businesses in Japan and Korea through active learning combining business and language training, an internship in a local company, and support for business plan development. The EU funds the entire programme and provides a scholarship throughout for each participant. 

Horizon 2020


Businesses, academia and public sector organisations with innovative ideas can take advantage of the largest ever EU Research and Innovation funding programme with a budget of €79bn up to 2020. With the emphasis on excellent science, industrial leadership and tackling societal challenges, Horizon 2020's goal is to ensure Europe produces world-class science, removes barriers to innovation and makes it easier for the public and private sectors to work together to deliver innovation.

SME Internationalisation Portal


EU-based SMEs can use this portal to search for support service providers for their internationalisation projects outside the EU. This site offers practical help for European companies seeking to do business outside the EU and provides:

• a database of support services (e.g. local chambers of commerce) who can help you start doing business with the country you are targeting;
• links to other EU-backed sources of help/advice.

Innovative mobile e-government applications by SMEs


The scope of this call is to provide support to SMEs, including start-ups, for the design and creation of innovative applications, in order to foster the delivery of mobile public services.

Coaches sought for top European SMEs


Enterprise Europe Network is looking for experienced business coaches interested in working with the most innovative European SMEs. The coaching support will focus on developing organizational capabilities to equip the beneficiaries with the necessary skills to ensure commercial growth based on the company’s SME Instrument project.

What is the SME Instrument?
The Horizon 2020 SME Instrument is a new European funding tool supporting SMEs with the ambition and potential to engage in innovation-driven growth on the European and global market.

The most innovative European SMEs will be awarded up to EUR2.5 million to commercialise their innovation projects, and along with the grant funding are entitled to up to 15 days of business coaching support. Find out how you can benefit.
