Hertfordshire Businesses Sign the Armed Forces Covenant
Over 1000 businesses and organisations around the country have signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant.
At a business breakfast networking event organised by the Ministry of Defence and Hertfordshire Armed Forces Covenant Board in July, over 15 businesses from across Hertfordshire joined together to learn about the Covenant and pledge support to those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces.
Kristina Carrington, Regional Employer Engagement Director spoke on behalf of the Ministry of Defence. She said:
“This is a great way for employers to highlight to their customers and the community that they support the Armed Forces. I invite every employer to get in touch to emulate organisations like the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce in publicly declaring their support for the military community.”
Kristina advises and supports businesses who are interested in demonstrating their support. She puts organisations in touch with services like the Career Transition Partnership, or with like-minded businesses who can share insight into the benefits of employing Reservists, for example.
The first step is to reach out to Kristina and attend an Armed Forces Covenant breakfast event near you. Click here for the full list of Armed Forces Covenant events in East Anglia.
