FSB Branch Chairman takes over helm of LEP’s Business Forum
Pam Charman, Hertfordshire Branch Chairman of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), has succeeded Graham Lane as the new Chair of Hertfordshire LEP’s Business Forum.
The forum acts as a key communication channel between businesses in the county and Hertfordshire LEP. It comprises the key business membership organisations in Hertfordshire including:
• Chambers of Commerce
• Federation of Small Business
• Institute of Directors
• Engineering Employers’ Federation
• Enterprise Agencies
• Local Business Groups such as the Maylands Business Partnership
The forum plays a vital role by acting as a conduit for engaging with businesses, scrutinising LEP strategy and activity and being a ‘sounding board’ on key economic issues across the LEP area. The Forum also looks to link to the three Programme Boards by supporting enterprise and innovation, skills and employment opportunities and looking for improvements in infrastructure to encourage more businesses into the county.
Paul Witcombe, Enterprise and Innovation Manager, said: “We are delighted that someone of Pam’s calibre has stepped up to take on this role. Graham worked tirelessly to create the right conditions for small enterprises to flourish and is an excellent advocate for Hertfordshire. I’m sure that Pam will continue to build on this platform.”
Graham Lane, founder and major shareholder of Cheeky Munkey Limited, an IT support company based in St Albans, will remain as SME representative on Hertfordshire LEP Board. Click here to read more about Pam Charman.
