21/12/2016

Hertfordshire LEP has allocated a sum of up to £0.5m towards a Skills Capital Equipment & Estates Fund for the 2016/17 financial year. We are keen to receive bids which would improve skill levels in Hertfordshire, especially through the purchase of capital equipment and/or smaller scale improvements to estate.

Hertfordshire LEP has allocated a sum of up to £500k towards a Skills Capital Equipment & Estates Fund for the 2016/17 financial year from the Single Local Growth Fund (SLGF) for a programme of projects to support skills development and economic growth.

There has been some significant investment in skills related estate based capital projects in Hertfordshire over the past 5-6 years. We are keen to receive bids which would improve skill levels in Hertfordshire, especially through the purchase of capital equipment and/or smaller scale improvements to estate – whilst accepting that the types of projects may be limited by the capital nature of the funding available.

In light of this we are asking for potential projects to be flagged up with us as soon as possible. A project pro-forma needs to be completed in draft by 5pm on 16 January 2017. Each completed pro forma should be no more than four sides of A4. If your project is successful through the first sift then we may come back for additional details.

The LEP is planning to carry out an initial sift of projects in January led by the Skills & Employment Programme Board, with the final bid being signed off by the LEP Board on 3 February 2016.
