Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce is collaborating with political influencers, business leaders and academics to provide businesses with an understanding of the transformative potential of a circular economy.

Held at Rothamsted Research’s brand new conference centre in Harpenden, the Environmental, Sustainability and Innovation Conference on 11 June is a great opportunity for SMEs to help work towards efficiency.

What is a circular economy?

The circular economy is a response to the use of finite resources in the design, manufacture, consumption and life of goods – and to the urgency in reversing its impact. Remade, repaired, resold or recycled the circular economy is a model that redesigns and re-engineers the manufacture of a product – and moves it through retail to consumption to repair or re-use to recycle.

Keynote speakers

Listen to Professor Mark Maslin, University College London, on why the Circular Economy matters to businesses – large and small, and David Gauke MP on the Government’s response and encouragement for change.
