TV/Film Business Support Service Launches

Hertfordshire LEP secured EU funding for a business support service which is launching on 28 March. It will provide specialist support to entrepreneurs and small businesses (fewer than 250 employees) working in the film and TV production industry, as well as businesses outside of the industry that could benefit from engaging with the film and TV industry.

This is part of a wider range of business support services the LEP has secured EU money for and this particular programme reflects one of the LEP's strategic priorities: supporting the county's world-leading sectors.

The programme, ProConnect Hertfordshire, is being delivered by Creative England and co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and Creative England.

It will deliver a series of workshops, networking opportunities and one-to-one meetings over the next three years. In addition, the programme will offer Knowledge Bites, workshops and support activity to those wishing to set up as sole traders either in the film & TV industries or in related industries. It will also be offering small businesses up to £5,000 in business grants to invest in further support to help their businesses grow.

The launch event, hosted by Elstree Studios, will provide an opportunity to hear more about the programme and how to get involved.
