By Road:
Directions from M11 junction 8: Take B1256 to Takeley Four Ashes traffic lights. Turn right (B183), follow the road through Hatfield Broad Oak until the road meets the A1060 at the T- junction in Hatfield Heath. Turn left towards Chelmsford and almost immediately turn right (opposite Hunters Meet). Follow road towards Matching and at end of houses turn left into Friars Lane. Friars Farm is half a mile on the right hand side, after the white cottages and Dutch Barn. There is a large willow tree in the garden. Directions from M11 junction 7: Take A1184 Harlow (towards Sawbridgeworth and Bishop's Stortford - second turning off motorway roundabout from London direction). At 4th roundabout after the motorway roundabout take a right turn to Sheering and Hatfield Heath (B183). In Hatfield Heath keep straight on, the road goes across a cricket pitch and past a war memorial and through a small group of houses. At the end of the houses turn left into Friars Lane. Friars Farm is half a mile on the right hand side, after the white cottages and Dutch Barn. There is a large willow tree in the garden.
