Neil is Chief Executive of Hertfordshire LEP and has overseen its development from its inception. Prior to joining the LEP, Neil was Head of the Economic Development Unit at Hertfordshire County Council. In his role as Head of Partnerships at the East of England Development Agency, Neil was responsible for local economic development partnerships across the region. Neil’s earlier career was in business support including working for Business Link and the British Chambers of Commerce.
Norman is responsible for overseeing the operational delivery of all programmes across the LEP’s key strategic priority areas which include Skills, Infrastructure and Enterprise.
Norman also supports the Skills & Employment Programme Board, working with local education providers and businesses to improve the provision of careers advice for young people, upskill Hertfordshire’s labour market, and ultimately move towards fuller employment within the county.
Head of Performance & Assurance
Andrew’s main focus is the Enviro-Tech Enterprise Zone, which aims to support and develop the existing enviro-tech sector in west Hertfordshire and attract more businesses to the area thanks to its excellent national and international transport links. He is also contributing to the work of the Projects and Performance team.
Head of Communications
A national newspaper-trained journalist with an instinct for seeking out the human interest story behind the business headline, Lucy is in charge of all external and internal communications for the LEP. Lucy advises Board and Executive Team members on media handling and manages a PR pipeline to support the LEP's project delivery. Her current challenges and opportunities include juggling multiple highly complex campaigns with her role as a full-time mother, short story writer and occasional blogger. Lucy is currently communications lead for the Local Industrial Strategy for Hertfordshire, co-ordinates Hertfordshire's Business Envoy Programme and is passionate about giving something back to the county.
Head of Enterprise & Innovation
Paul supports the work of the Enterprise and Innovation Programme Board which develops and monitors activities contributing to the delivery of the LEP’s vision of accelerating business-led growth.
Head of Infrastructure & Regeneration
Adam is responsible for managing the LEP’s Growing Places Fund and the Single Local Growth Fund relating to delivery of infrastructure, regeneration and housing projects across the county. Adam also encourages effective joint working between the LEP, Hertfordshire County Council, District and Borough Councils, the Local Transport Board and Hertfordshire Infrastructure and Planning Partnership to deliver an exciting and challenging growth programme.
Enterprise Zone Manager
Cherie is the project lead for delivery of the Hertfordshire Enviro-Tech Enterprise Zone. She is focused on working with partners to secure investment and deliver infrastructure which will unlock strategically located development sites, with the potential to deliver thousands of new jobs to the area.
ERDF Projects Facilitator
Tim works with organisations in Hertfordshire and beyond to facilitate the development of projects that will encourage economic growth and leverage opportunity from Hertfordshire’s allocation of the European Regional Development Fund.
Senior Enterprise Coordinator
Gareth is leading on the Careers and Enterprise Company programme across Hertfordshire. The aim is to match an Enterprise Adviser from the business/public sector with a local secondary school. Enterprise Advisers are typically senior leadership volunteers from the local business community who will engage with schools and colleges. The advisers help prepare young people for future jobs and careers, building up a network of valuable business contacts, and supporting schools to develop a whole school careers strategy.
Lisa is Project Executive for the delivery of the Careers and Enterprise Company programme in Hertfordshire. She also supports the Skills and Employment Programme Board and the Apprenticeship Ambassador Network.
Sam manages the contracting process for the LEP and supports the team by ensuring that the LEP’s projects under its key funding streams are properly initiated, appraised, contracted and managed.
Project Development Manager
Gemma works with LEP funding applicants to develop projects that adhere to the LEP's strategic objectives, progressing them through the project pathway.
Sally handles the day-to-day administration of the team, including finances, contract management, events, HR and recruitment, ICT and support to the Executive Team and LEP Board/Programme Boards.
Molly joined the Herts LEP team in July 2016 as Team Coordinator and her role is to provide administrative support for the Executive Team and Board.
Communications and Research Executive
Rashmi joined the LEP team in June 2017. She supports Lucy Gravatt, Communications and Engagement Manager, in the delivery of the LEP's communication plan and assists with research activity for the wider executive team.
Katy oversees the marketing of Hertfordshire’s Enviro-tech Enterprise Zone and supports the Communications Manager in delivering the LEP’s Local Industrial Strategy engagement programme.
Assurance & Monitoring Manager
Vickie is responsible for monitoring projects that have been approved by the LEP Board and provides support in the areas of audit and scrutiny. Vickie supports Andrew Lee, Head of Performance and Assurance.
Enterprise Zone Project Executive
Helen works with partners to manage projects that will enable the design, development and occupancy of aspirational business enterprise sites in terms of sustainability, digital connectivity, skills resourcing, outstanding public realm and community integration.
Skills, Employment & Apprenticeship Lead
Caroline works to improve skills provision across the county in line with the Hertfordshire Skills and Apprenticeship Strategies and Local Industrial Strategy.
She facilitates and implements projects such as the Hertfordshire Skills Portal, Hertfordshire Skills Advisory Service, Apprenticeship Ambassador Network and employer engagement strategy to support the introduction of T-Level qualifications.
