A new public consultation on Crossrail 2, the proposed new railway serving London and the wider South East, has been launched.
Crossrail 2 would run underground through London between Wimbledon and New Southgate/Tottenham Hale and link into the existing national rail network above ground for destinations in Surrey and Hertfordshire. The benefits of the railway would extend beyond the immediate route and across the wider region.
Crossrail 2 would link in with London Underground, London Overground, Crossrail 1, national and international rail services. It will support economic growth and provide the transport infrastructure that is needed to support 200,000 new homes and 200,000 new jobs.
More information about the consultation is available to view and download here. Deadline to respond is 8 January 2016.
