The apprenticeship levy was launched in April 2017 as part of a number of reforms to create an employer-led apprenticeship system to better meet the needs of business. From April 2018, the Department for Education (DfE) plans to allow levy paying employers to transfer up to 10% of their levy credits to other employers or Apprenticeship Training Agencies (ATAs) using the apprenticeship service.
DfE have begun the next phase of work and are developing the details on how transfers will be implemented. To support this work, they are looking to get feedback from a wide range of businesses, stakeholders and other groups in Hertfordshire to understand what they would need from a transfers service, to help design the functionality to meet those needs.
DfE are seeking your input at this stage. Give your views before Friday 18th August by completing the survey, which should take approximately 5 minutes.
In addition to the survey, the project user researcher will be conducting interviews via telephone and in person. If you are interested in sharing your views (this will involve giving feedback on prototypes etc.), please indicate this in your survey response and the user researcher will be in touch.
To speak with the project team directly, please contact Helen Jones or Ian Vickers who would talk you through their work and take on board any feedback you may have. Their details are below:
