The biz4Biz Awards are independent awards that can be won by anyone involved in a business in Hertfordshire. They aim to find examples of those who are the best at what they do. Online nomination is open until late December. The awards ceremony will be held on 3 March 2017 at Tewin Bury Farm Hotel, Welwyn, and will be hosted by the Rt Hon. Michael Portillo.
The Best Apprenticeship Award is open to any apprenticeship scheme that provides excellent job training, ensuring the apprentice becomes a master of their trade. Success is measured in the number of apprentices becoming a valued employee. Companies wishing to enter can apply here.
Hertfordshire LEP in partnership with Youth Connexions Hertfordshire is delivering The Careers and Enterprise Company with the aim of creating lasting links between schools and employers. The idea is to match an Enterprise Adviser from the business/public sector with a local secondary school. Typically Enterprise Advisers will be in senior leadership roles and will act as mentors to schools and colleges. This helps prepare young people for the future, allows them to make informed career choices, and gives them a network of business contacts.
With these specific aims in mind, The Careers and Enterprise Company is particularly proud to be sponsoring the Best Apprenticeship Award, recognising schemes for their excellent training and their ability to help young people enter the workplace.
For more information on the programme and to find out how you can get involved helping young people enter the workplace, email Senior Enterprise Co-ordinator firstname.lastname@example.org or visit The Careers and Enterprise Company.
