Our industry-led Annual Conference on 29 March will showcase some of the exciting and innovative work being pioneered by businesses right here in Hertfordshire, as we gear up to create a Local Industrial Strategy that harnesses the county’s sector strengths.
Find out how we can help the UK lead the global tech revolution by tackling the four Grand Challenges facing the country; artificial intelligence, clean energy, the future of mobility and ageing society. Hear from my predecessor John Gourd, Chair of the Local Industrial Strategy Commission set up by the LEP Board, and some of our Grand Challenge Champions; industry stalwarts who are setting benchmarks on a national and even global level within their specialisms - all of whom I would like to personally thank for their time and commitment.
The conference will coincide with the official launch of the Hertfordshire Science Partnership; our innovative collaboration with the University of Hertfordshire, with MP Richard Harrington, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, highlighting its importance and potential impact on the county’s thriving life sciences sector.
We will also look back at the progress we have made as a LEP over the past year, highlighting our flagship projects and key areas of impact, and set out our plans for the future as we continue to work towards our shared goal of economic prosperity for our people, places and businesses. We hope to see you there.
