How can we ensure that Letchworth has a vibrant economic future; will be able to secure appropriate new investment; and that current and future generations of local businesses will thrive?

Later this month, key Letchworth businesses and public sector leaders will meet to discuss their experiences of the garden city as ‘a place to do business’, the opportunities and challenges faced, and the interventions needed to facilitate growth.

This event, hosted by Hertfordshire LEP in partnership with the Letchworth Heritage Foundation, will ultimately help shape a new economic vision for the garden city, and is the first in a series of business roundtable discussions taking place across the county to help us develop a stakeholder-led Local Industrial Strategy for Hertfordshire.

About Local Industrial Strategies

Local Enterprise Partnerships have been tasked with developing Local Industrial Strategies to help create more prosperous communities and tackle the vast regional and local disparities that exist across the UK. Our Local Industrial Strategy (LIS) will bring together a strong, well-informed evidence base about an area’s economy and outline a long-term set of priorities that capitalise on existing opportunities in the economy, address weaknesses and resolve an area’s needs.

If you are a Letchworth-based business, please complete a short survey to help us map the town's economic potential. The findings will influence the Local Industrial Strategy to help secure new investment so that current and future generations of businesses can thrive.
