Defence company MBDA is currently seeking partners to collaborate with on 17 Innovation Challenges, from thermal battery replacements to next generation flight control. It invites applicants to submit outline responses by 6 October 2017.
MBDA is working with the Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) to promote these challenges and intends to apply for defence and civil institutional funding to develop solutions with the aim of sustaining the resulting technology in the civil sector. The challenges are open to all organisations, however institutional funding may be limited by geography.
To get involved, applicants must register on the MBDA Innovation Gateway and submit a brief outline of their proposal. This must include sufficient detail to attract the interest of MBDA's technical experts without the need to put a non-disclosure agreement in place. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend one-to-one discussions to determine the viability and future of proposed projects. These meetings will take place throughout October and November 2017.
