With a new look and feel for 2018 and a simplified application process, the National Apprenticeship Awards are a great opportunity to showcase business and individual success in apprenticeships. Apply by 25 May.

Award categories open to apprentice employers and individuals include:

Employer of the Year:
- SME of the Year: 1 – 249 employees
- Large Employer of the Year: 250 – 4,999 employees
- Macro Employer of the Year: 5000+ employees

Apprentice of the Year:
- Intermediate Level (level 2)
- Advanced Level (level 3)
- Higher or Degree Level (level 4 or higher)

Apprenticeship Champion of the Year
Recognises individuals who go ‘above and beyond’ to champion apprenticeships.

Three new awards for 2018 include:

The Recruitment Excellence Award, which will be awarded to an organisation that has recruited a diverse and high quality apprenticeship workforce. The winner will be selected from the Employer of the Year award entries.

The Rising Star Award, which will recognise apprentices that have made impressive progress in their career to date and have the potential to go even further. Apprentices will be nominated for this award by their employer and the selection of the national winner will include a public vote.

Special Recognition Award, which will be awarded to an individual who has made a special contribution to the promotion and delivery of apprenticeships. The winner of this category will be selected by the National Apprenticeship Service.

The National Apprenticeship Service are offering a series of webinars to help explain the application process. Each webinar will last approximately 30 minutes.

The webinars will be presented by the Awards Quality Assurance Manager working on behalf of the National Apprenticeship Service. Delegates will find out about the entry process, understand what evidence and metrics to include and find out about the additional support and guidance available. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions via online chat.
