We’re delighted to announce that Adrian Hawkins has been appointed as the SME representative on Hertfordshire LEP’s Board. Adrian is the Chairman of Weldability Sif, a welding products company based in Letchworth Garden City which was founded in 1925.

Adrian takes over the role from Yolanda Rugg, Chief Exec of Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce. We’re really grateful for her support and we look forward to continuing to work with her through her role at the Chamber.

As Chairman and co-founder of biz4biz, a business support network in Stevenage and North Herts, Adrian will be supporting the LEP in reaching out to business owners across Hertfordshire and ensuring that our work reflects their needs.

The LEP has always been keen to promote the county’s SMEs - for example through our Business Forum and investment in broadband connectivity at key business sites. Through our Growth Deal with Government, we’ve also secured additional funds for a Growth Hub offering business support and for new spaces for businesses at Hoddesdon, Stevenage and Harpenden.

We are really pleased to have Adrian join the Board, and we look forward to working with him to drive forward our ambitions for Hertfordshire’s economic growth.
