SEPnet (South East Physics Network) is seeking employers for its eight-week summer placement scheme to sponsor physics undergraduate students at £2,000 per student to conduct research or complete a project as work experience for a period of eight weeks during their summer break. Students will use the £2,000 payment to cover their costs during this period.
So far over 75 SEPnet Summer Placements for physics undergraduate students have been secured between July and September 2015, but with more than 300 SEPnet students registered, the deadline to register projects has now been extended. SEPnet is keen to hear from any interested employers.
SEPnet (South East Physics Network) is a consortium of 9 university physics departments including Hertfordshire, Kent, Portsmouth, London (Queen Mary, Royal Holloway), Southampton, Surrey, Sussex and Open University.
Who is the scheme aimed at?
Any organisations interested in recruiting physics graduates including large companies, research institutions and SMEs.
