The new service is free-to-use thanks to the support of Hertfordshire LEP, Oaklands College, West Herts College and Watford Borough Council.
It gives employers in Watford and South West Herts the information and resources they need to grow their businesses through skills and corporate social responsibility. Local businesses looking to train staff or take on new employees will find everything they need via Skilmmakers.
Speaking at the launch on Friday 2 December – which was hosted by The Grove Hotel and attracted a large business audience – Skillmakers Programme Director, Richard Moore, said: "Getting informed advice on skills is notoriously difficult. With Skillmakers, local businesses now have a single source of professional advice, both online and via a team of dedicated training specialists."
