Having successfully launched Wenta’s online business support portal, My Incubator Ventures (MIV), to Luton residents, Welwyn Garden City Central Library and to the existing small business network of Wenta, Wenta are delighted to announce that MIV has partnered with Stevenage Borough Council to offer Stevenage residents FREE access to online business advice via the MIV live chat service.
Through this partnership, Stevenage residents living in the SG1 – SG2 postcodes are now able to speak with professional business mentors online in real-time between 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday (*excluding bank holidays) without the need to travel anywhere. Whether it’s start-up advice or advice for an existing small business that’s needed, MIV can help.
As well as the live chat service, the MIV website also contains a wealth of business information including useful articles and templates which can be downloaded. MIV users can also keep up-to-date with the latest news and events happening in the small business world too.
The partnership will provide small business owners in Stevenage with access to all of the above, through Stevenage Borough Council’s website, free of charge. In order to access the free live chat business advice service, residents must enter their SG1 or SG2 postcode on the Stevenage Borough Council website to verify that they are a Stevenage resident.
Leader of Stevenage Borough Council Sharon Taylor, said “This is great news for Stevenage residents and businesses with this new service enhancing our existing business support services, which have already created a vibrant and entrepreneurial spirit in the town resulting in new businesses being created on a weekly basis. Also, as the first District Council in Hertfordshire to make this unique offer available free of charge to start-ups and existing businesses, it clearly demonstrates our commitment to the business community.”
Officially launched in September 2013 at Wenta’s 30th Anniversary Conference and growing rapidly, MIV is proving to provide a much sought-after service.
Director of My Incubator Ventures, Greg Thomas, said “We’re delighted to be partnering with Stevenage Borough Council on this project and we hope that this partnership will inspire others to take up our valuable service”.
