Watford Health Campus, one of three projects to benefit from the Hertfordshire LEP's Growing Places Fund allocation, is one step closer to completion.

Watford Borough Council has appointed Kier as the preferred bidder to deliver the project.

The Campus is an exciting investment that will involve the redevelopment of Watford Hospital and surrounding areas with employment, accommodation and open space around new rail links that have been separately approved.

This is one of the LEP's first major Growing Places Fund investments to be on track for delivery.

The LEP was awarded just over £16million from the Government's Growing Places Fund to invest in stalled infrastructure projects across the county. The first round of allocations took place earlier this year, with the second round due to begin this Autumn.
