Hertfordshire LEP has invested in the regeneration of South Oxhey, a South West Hertfordshire town, in order to improve infrastructure and provide much higher quality housing and retail.
Hertfordshire LEP has invested in the project as part of its commitment to re-invigorate our places for the 21st Century – one of our Strategic Economic Plan’s priorities. Re-investment is urgently needed in our New Towns and others including South Oxhey to repair their decaying infrastructure, provide high density solutions and capitalise on their excellent railway connections. In addition, another of our SEP’s priorities is to harness our relationships with London and elsewhere.
The overall £172m regeneration scheme will include more than 500 homes in a mix of private sale, shared ownership and affordable housing, as well as 55,000 sq. ft. of retail space and enhanced public spaces. It is expected to be completed by 2022.
The project has received £2.25m of Growth Deal funding.
