An international delegation from the Hubei Province of China visited the Lamex Stadium today to learn about Stevenage Football Club (FC) and the UK's football industry.
The visit was facilitated by Hertfordshire LEP and attended by Senior Sports Managers, including the Hubei Province Football Association Chairman and officials from the Hubei Administration of Sport. The delegates enjoyed presentations about the UK's football industry, delivered by Stevenage FC CEO Alex Tunbridge and Head of Stevenage FC Foundation Joe Goude, before receiving a tour of the Lamex Stadium.
The Hubei Province is populated by 60 million people and has four professional football teams. The Chinese party visited Hertfordshire as part of a tour of the UK to further enhance their knowledge of the country's football industry, with a view to establish potential partnerships.
Stevenage Football Club CEO Alex Tunbridge said, "We were delighted to welcome the party to the Club and share our knowledge and experiences. We hope to be able to forge relationships with members of the party which can aid the Club in its future development."
Tim Burton, Hertfordshire LEP said, "Visits like these provide a fantastic platform from which to showcase what Hertfordshire has to offer on an international scale. We are pleased to have helped channel this opportunity to Stevenage FC and hope it will present further opportunities to collaborate."
