Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership has extended its Get Enterprising programme for a further two years to 2025, to continue to help businesses to start, grow and flourish within the county.

The programme, which first launched in 2020, is delivered by trusted business support experts Wenta, which has 40 years of experience in providing high-quality support with planning, starting, re-building and growing businesses.

Get Enterprising is a programme that offers fully-funded specialist support to enable early stage businesses to grow:

• Get prepared to scale-up with vital advice around finance, digital marketing and technology to support your business growth.
• Get ready to access this innovative programme and feel supported at every stage of your journey towards success.
• Get excited to receive the funding you need to grow your business.
• Get connected with other entrepreneurs who are contributing to Hertfordshire’s growth economy.

Get Enterprising supports Hertfordshire start-ups that have been operating for under five years. The service is free of charge and aims to stabilise early-start businesses and set them on a trajectory of growth, helping boost local job creation and economic contribution. The programme provides 1-2-1 specialist advice as well as training workshops, networking opportunities and access to finance.

Get Enterprising

A growing family of business support programmes

Get Enterprising is part of Hertfordshire LEP’s growing family of business support programmes. This includes Hertfordshire Growth Hub, which works to accelerate the growth of established SMEs, and provides the next phase of business support for those who have successfully completed the Get Enterprising programme.

Other Hertfordshire LEP programmes include the skills and employment portal HOP which advises on staff upskilling, recruitment and retention; Hertfordshire Careers Hub, which links employers to education; destination management service Visit Herts, which supports local tourism and hospitality sector businesses; and Herts IQ, the county’s enterprise zone which brings together major research institutions in Hertfordshire. The LEP is also set to launch a new Inward Investment service later this year, as well as the Hertfordshire Film Office, providing support for the creative sector.
